How does it feel to be on the list?
– It is great to be recognized and being part of this prestigious list with many leading Swedish scholars in Social Science. As I was not aware of this list, the news about ranking came as a total surprise. However, I am glad for this good news both personally and for Luleå University of Technology. Also it is great that we have other researchers from Luleå University of Technology recognized for their contributions to academia, such as Joakim Wincent from Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Simon Matti from Political Science.
What projects are you working on right now?
– Currently, I am working with 40 plus Swedish companies like ABB, Ericsson, Epiroc, Sandvik, Boliden, Volvo, and others on the topic of digitalization, servitization and new business models innovation. We are supporting these companies with revising their business models as they are faced with major technological changes, such as AI, autonomous and electrification. Another research track focuses on supporting SMEs in the Norrbotten region by making them competent towards exploiting business opportunities related to circular economy.
Is there anything else that you want to mention?
– It is important to recognize that we have many leading researchers at entrepreneurship and innovation and Department of Business Administration, Technology and Social Sciences that are driving the field by high impact publications. Also we are highly successful in attracting external funding from diverse funders, such as Vinnova, VR, Formas, Kampard Family Foundation and others. This combination has created a highly ambitions and productive environment that I and other from the research team benefit from. In coming years, I am certain that we will have more names from the Department of Business Administration, Technology and Social Sciences on similar prestigious lists.
