The edge5.5 camera model has 2560x2160 pixels and can operate at 100 fps at full resolution.
The PCO edge camera uses sCMOS technology which combines the best features of CMOS and CCD into a new type of sensor. The edge5.5 camera model has 2560x2160 pixels and can operate at 100 fps at full resolution. The most prominent feature of the camera is the extremely low readout noise (1.1 electrons) which together with a high dynamic range (27000:1) makes it a very versatile camera. Experimental mechanics has two edge cameras, one with water cooling for interferometric applications and one air cooled for use in X-ray micro tomography.
