Spectrometers are used both directly in applications such as combustion and indirectly for calibration of wavelength-tunable lasers. Experimental mechanics has two general purpose spectrometers covering the wavelength range 300-1100 nm with 5 nm resolution and 1100-1700 nm with 1 nm resolution. For laser calibration there is also a high resolution (0,06 nm) spectrometer covering the range 600-709 nm.
