Paddocks

Rubber Cut can be used as a basis for the design of equestrians, paddock or racetracks for horseracing. Rubber Cut used in construction as fill with elastic and drainage properties, contributes to a better basis for the horse and provides a dry surface. Rubber Cut is insulating, which can extend the season for a paddock or racetrack.

In our climate is usually sandy paths for outdoor use. Grass courses to become slippery during rain and groove formation can be a problem. Sawdust is not suitable for outdoor courts. Use shavings in dressage courses are short term course better, while the surface layer must be replaced about every three years.

A good equestrian path, whether it is outdoors or indoors should be soft to spare the horse, resistant to permanent deformation and dry. Conventionally built such a path up the drain pipe at the bottom and layers of gravel and crushed rock and sand on top. To instead use a layer of rubber clip simplifies the construction and the surface becomes more durable. Below is a principled design of a paddock with rubber clips. Dewatering occurs either through an open ditch (left in the figure) or by a so-called cover trench (right). The layer of rubber clips surrounded by a material separation layer of geotextile to prevent mixing of materials.

Drainage is done around the course and possibly across the paddock with 8 m and is performed according to the same principles as the drainage of farmland. Drainage around the edges will have runoff into surface water. Draining should have a diameter of 50-75 mm, and drainage graves filled with single 6-20 mm. Paddock should have a slope of 1-2 percent to the edges, either with vertex along the midline or depending on the slope in general. Located paddock on sloping ground is the slope of the land direction. Then, the geotextile (use class 3) as separator materials. The first layer is 15 cm rubber clip which is followed by the packing of the new layer of geotextile. The purpose of the gasket is to get a stable layer that distributes the load from the horses' hooves. Layer 2 is at least 10 cm stone dust compacted to a solid surface and is designed to protect the carpet against equine hooves and harrows. The surface of this layer, and layer 3, the slope 1-2%. Layer 4 is applied only when the layer 3 has set up and consists of 5 cm gravelly sand. The construction can thus provide the elasticity sought. Finally put out a 10 cm thick layer of sand.
