The project is funded by VINNOVA and is being implemented in collaboration with SVID, the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, and three innovation-promoting organizations: Winnet Sweden, Magma Nord and Leia Business Hotel.
The problem identified by the participating organizations and researchers is that Sweden's innovation promotion system has primarily been able to support the realization of technical product and service innovations in male-dominated industries.
The participating organizations have developed more gender-equal methods for innovation promotion that are able to support a greater diversity of actors, industries and innovations. Their experiences are brought together in the project to a common understanding of how gender-driven social innovation can change current patterns in innovation promotion.
