Transformative Innovation Support aims to broaden the inflow of ideas, increase the diversity of innovators and enforce sustainable renewal among innovation promoters. It thus helps support innovations that meet social challenges and the global sustainability goals in Agenda 2030.
The concept is based on compiled knowledge from national and international research studies and practical models in the fields of innovation promotion, social innovation and social sustainability. It has been developed in collaboration between promoters, innovators and researchers in a VINNOVA-funded project 2016-2017. The project was managed by Luleå University of Technology in cooperation with Swedish Incubators & Science Parks (SISP), Swedish Network for Innovation & Technology Transfer Support (SNITTS), Mötesplats Social Innovation (MSI), The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), Coompanion Nord , LTU Business, Chalmers University of Technology, Halmstad University, WSP Sweden and Geektown Kommunikationsbyrå.
