Design is a field of study and also a skill that connect art and technology, through the understanding of the relationship between functionality and aesthetics. The human senses perceive and interpret the world around us. Knowledge of experience in our interpretations is therefore increasingly important to be able to create solutions and situations that we understand and perceive as satisfactory. Åsa Wikberg-Nilsson, researcher in Industrial desgin and Maria Ahlqvist Juhlin, researchers in Media Design, both at Luleå University of Technology, describes the subject area Design Science and the research project Senses Labs, with the aim to explor design focusing on human sensory experiences.

Lunch can be purchased at the restaurant Uni: k and be brought into the auditorium.
