Call for Preparatory Project Proposals on Mining and Society in the Arctic

Following NordMin workshop “Mining and Society in the Arctic”, held at Sisimiut, Greenland June 6th & 7th 2015, NordMin is pleased to launch the 4th Call for Preparatory Project Proposals with the topic “Mining and Society in the Arctic”.

NordMin will cover the costs for establishing a partnership consortium, in order to develop project ideas for leverage from national, Nordic, EU or International sources, up to a max of 200.000 DKK/PP. The following costs shall be considered as eligible and may be charged to the PP: Preparation costs, Travel costs, Meeting costs, Indirect costs (overheads).

Proposals under this call should:

  • be linked to a coming external call
  • clearly state which specific call is targeted
  • clearly state how the funding will be used
  • involve a minimum  of 3 partners from at least 3 different Nordic countries (Letters of Interest should be included)

Submission of proposals

Preparatory project proposals (in English) should be submitted not later than July 10, 2015, 17.00 CET to: betty.christakopoulou@nordmin-network.org

Evaluation -Decision

Proposals will be evaluated by NordMin Steering Committee. Decision on funding is expected by the end of August 2015.

Call for Preparatory Project Proposals on On- and Offshore Exploration

Preparatory Projects should be based on the results from NordMin workshop “On- and Offshore exploration and prospecting in Extreme Nordic Environments”.

NordMin will cover the costs for establishing a partnership consortium, in order to develop project ideas for leverage from national, Nordic or International (EU) sources, up to max 200.000 DKK/PP. The following costs shall be considered as eligible and may be charged to the PP: Preparation costs, Travel costs, Meeting costs, Indirect costs (overheads).

  • The PP proposal should be linked to a coming external call
  • In PP proposal should be clearly stated which specific call is targeted
  • In PP proposal should be clearly stated how the funding will be used
  • Minimum 3 Letters of Interest from 3 Nordic countries should be attached to the application
  • Call period: 23 March  2015 to  30 April 2015
  • PP proposal evaluation by NordMin Steering Committee
  • SC decision within 1 month after PP call closure

Call for Preparatory Project Proposals on Natural Construction Materials Sector

Preparatory projects (PP) should address NordMin leverage within all core themes (1-6) in the Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda of NordMin.

NordMin will cover costs for establishing a partnership to develop the ideas for leverage from national, Nordic or International (EU) sources, up to max 200 000 DKK/PP.

  • In PP proposal should be clearly stated how the preparatory project will address funding possibilities within the different funding bodies, on EU or national level.
  • The PP proposal should be linked to a coming external call.
  • Minimum 3 Letters of Interest from 3 Nordic countries should be attached to the application.
  • Call period from 19 November to 19 December 2014
  • PP proposal evaluation by NordMin Steering Committee
  • SC decision within 1 month after PP call closure
