Debate: Falu mine 1.9 billion years of geological processes can secure society's future needs

Published: 20 May 2017

A research project at Luleå University of Technology has shown that the ore in The Falu Mine was formed about 1.9 billion years ago by enrichment of metals in the seabed during an ancient ocean. Hopefully, results such as these may raise public interest for geological processes and time scales, researchers write behind the study.
