New collaboration with China's largest research group in Tribology

Published: 31 August 2018

The Department of Machine Elements visited Lanzhou in China to establish cooperation with China's largest research group in tribology. In addition, Sweden was represented by Luleå University of Technology in the first symposium on Tribology with China.

– The collaboration with the tribology researchers at Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics feels like a very interesting addition to our international network. We also participated in the 1st Sweden-China Symposium on Tribology, which also included the 9th UK-China Symposium, says Roland Larsson, Professor of Machine Elements at Luleå University of Technology.

Great Britain was represented by researchers from the National Tribology Center in Southampton, along with researchers from Imperial College and University College London.

– We were very well received by our hosts Professor Weimin Liu and Professor Feng Zhou, says Roland Larsson.
