Published: 2 October 2018

The research subject Machine Learning are now officially in place at Luleå University of Technology.

Just in the middle of the year, Marcus Liwicki has been appointed as chaired professor at Luleå University of Technology. Together with Fotini Liwicki, a team of two experienced researchers in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Pattern Recognition starts to work on challenging fundamental research questions in machine learning, as well as application-oriented topics. This team is taking the iMuSciCA project to Sweden, making Luleå University of Technology an active partner of an interesting project on novel technologies for education in STEM subjects combined with arts. As partner, we are focusing on signal processing, data analysis, and natural human computer interaction. Try out our workbench, the Drawing canvas and some visual analysis is our contribution.
