Program of the 8th Swedish Workshop on Data Science

Due to the ongoing pandemic, SweDS this year will be organised as a mixture of online and physical attendance. We encourage those who have the option to join us in person to do so (provided that the precautions recommended by the Swedish Publich Health Agency are followed). While for those who cannot join us in person (either because of travel restrictions, or they show cold-like symptoms, or for any other reason) we will provide a Zoom link where they can join us online.

The Workshop is going to take place at the A building (Lecture Hall A109) of the Luleå campus of LTU. For the exact location, see this link, or the maps below.

To get to the city center, where most hotels are, you can take either bus 4 or bus 104 from the airport to Smedjegatan which is located right in the middle of the city center. If you come by bus or train to Luleå you will likely come directly to the city center.

To get to the university from the city center you can take buses 4, 5, or 14 (or 7 but it takes a longer trip) from Smedjegatan to Porsö Centrum. This will take you to the other end of the university campus to where the workshop takes place. Currently large parts of campus are being rebuilt so you'll have to walk around the campus grounds rather than straight through. Another option is taking bus 6 (a more scarce, but faster line), which can directly take you from Smedjegatan to Universitetsentren, that is right in front of the building where the workshop takes place.

If you need to find a bus from somewhere in Luleå either to the university (bus stop Porsön Centrum) or the city center (bus stop Smedjegatan) you can use the webpage of the public transport to find your way: llt.lulea.se
You can also download the app called "Luleå Lokaltrafik" from the App Store or Google Play.

If you are uncomfortable with taking public transport you can order a taxi at +46920-10000
