Skellefteå is an important university campus for Luleå University of Technology and has a rich collaboration with local and regional business and community functions. The university wishes to further strengthen its presence in the region and increase accessibility to the knowledge that university produces.
Starting September 13, 2017, Luleå University of Technology therefore invites the public in Skellefteå to a free lecture series with a wide range of spans: "The University presents." The lectures will be conducted at The Great Northern, which is a significant creative meeting place for new thoughts and innovations in Skellefteå.
The topics are high-level and the hope is that the lectures lead to many interesting discussions. The first lecture in Skellefteå is about how new digital technology will change the future's care and care. The second lecture is about gamification and addresses the question that technology is often seen as part of the problem that children today do not move enough. But maybe the same technology can also be part of the solution? Questions about IT security are discussed on the third occasion.
