The award is presented in conjunction with the AGM in Falun 20 to 21 April 2013 and the one that is to be awarded should enthusiastically promote that the educational mission is conducted in a commendable manner, promote ideas that can be translated into practical everyday work and be informed about current research in education - use both proven experience and current research in their professional lives.
- I felt very honored to receive the award. It is important for me that the work I've done and do is appreciated by others. This makes me committed to continue the important work of being a teacher and researcher in education, says Ulrika Bergmark.
There are members of all circuits and individual members may nominate candidates for the award and the criteria are voluminous. Besides already mentioned the winner should also be a good representative of his/hers profession and be involved in something extraordinary in their field.
Ulrika Bergmark's scientific and educational qualifications are extensive. She has a Ph.D. in Education in 2009 at Luleå University. Her teaching experience is also extensive. Ulrika has worked on various projects within the municipality including Öjebyn. These have primarily focused on core values and the projects are mixed theories with pedagogical and didactic approaches and reflective, quite important! Recommendations were received from two principals in areas where Ulrika worked as including educational leader. According to the principals, Ulrika in a unique way managed to tie together theory and practice. The scientific and educational merit list is extensive and includes tutoring efforts in research studies, course development, and a number of scientific publications. She has also participated with their own research on a number of scientific and international conferences. It is with pleasure that we in Delta Kappa Gamma awards the prize for the teacher / teachers / trainers in Sweden.
