Oral presentations

Presentations should be uploaded on conference web-site www.ltu.se/comptest under section “Upload presentation for CompTest 2019” until 26th May. As in previous conferences, these presentations will be available for other participants for viewing before and after conference. Please note in comment box if you want other to view your presentation only in .pdf format.

Before the session starts introduce yourself to the session chair. Every presenter has 15 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes for questions. You will be notified by local organizers or session chair, when your time is running out. For a smooth conference, we ask everyone to strictly adhere to these guidelines.

Keynote presenters have 35 minutes to present, followed by 10 minutes for questions.

If you have any videos or animations, then please test them in the presentation room during the breaks. To avoid problems in transitioning between speakers, you should not use your own laptop.

Poster presentations

The format of your poster should be A0 in portrait orientation (vertical). Smaller posters are allowed, but not recommended. You should print this poster yourself and bring it with you.

Posters will be displayed in the foyer on the same floor as the conference room. They should be mounted on 28th May before 12:00. Your poster ID is mentioned in the program booklet and on your posterboards. Our local organizers will be available to help you with putting up your poster.

You should prepare 1 PowerPoint slide, which will be used by you for the mini-presentation of your paper.

  • You have maximum 2 minutes to present
  • PDF slides are not allowed
  • No videos
  • Use aspect ratio 4:3
  • We will not have any title slides in between. If you want to show author list and title, then this needs to fit on your 1 slide.
  • We recommend that you include your poster ID on your slide. These IDs can be found in the program.

All the slides for an entire mini-oral session will be collated into one presentation. You will be able to check the formatting of your slide during the conference. The slide should be uploaded on conference web-site www.ltu.se/comptest under section “Upload presentation for CompTest 2019” by 26th May.

The organising committee will not be held liable for any lost or damaged posters. Poster authors are expected to be present next to their poster during the interactive poster sessions to discuss their poster with the attendees.

special CompTest2019 issue will appear in Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing. Selected authors will be invited to submit a full journal paper to this issue, which will go through the regular, rigorous review process of the journal. These papers will be available online with page numbers and DOI shortly after acceptance. Details of the submission and reviewing process will be announced during the conference.
