Signal Processing

Luleå University of Technology established Sweden's first professor's chair in Signal Processing in 1988. The present research group includes four full time senior researchers, two guest professors and several Ph.D. students. The research theme within the group is the development of signal processing algorithms based on stochastic models.

Current research areas are:

  • Flexible Radio Communications
  • Signal processing methods in measurement technology applications.
  • Image analysis for process industrial applications

In addition to the graduate research program, the Signal Processing group participates in the Master of Science program at the department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering. The undergraduate courses cover the broad areas of signal processing.
