In media: Sami Parliament lacks autonomy

Last Sunday voted the Sami's for the sixth time since the Sami Parliament was established 20 years ago. But still it is far from a Sami self-determination. This comments Simon Matti.

– Sami Parliament's parliamentary part has mainly been established for symbolic political issues to guard Sami culture, guard Sami interests and strengthen the Sami identity, says Simon Matti, Doctor of Political Sciences at Luleå University of Technology to SVT Nordnytt.
