Ultrasound & Flow Acoustics

The research area is about multi-physical simulation and optimization of coupled resonant systems for hydrodynamic and acoustic cavitation for energy efficient and intensified industrial processes. Applications are within pulp and paper, mineral processing, bio-chemistry, composite material and food processing. Focus are on:

I. Process intensification by flow induced and ultrasound controlled cavitation to improve energy demanding processes
II. Sound and vibration optimization of complex unit operations to enhance sustainability and process quality
