Welcome to the Engineering Acoustics

Published: 22 April 2006

Research and education in Engineering Acoustics was established in mid 70s, with emphasis on Human Work Sciences, Automotive NVH, Light weight construction and Process industry.

The research profile is emphasised on source characterisation, acoustic and structure borne transmission, resonance phenomena; contol measures; and the effects on humans and materials. The research has its fundamentals in experimental methods; hybride modelling and simulation. Research projects are mostly conducted in close cooperation with industry.

The group has measurement equipment and laboratories in world class like: multi channel measurent and analysis systems; anechoic chamber; sound design laboratory with recording and listening studios; and semi-anechoic vehicle test laboratory. The research group does undergraduate teaching in MSc programme of Engineering design, MSc programme of Architecture, BSc programme of Sound engineering. Postgraduate teaching is conducted within the subject of Engineering Acoustics.
