One method to detect water in the wrong pipe

There are many problems for society and the environment when wastewater is incorrectly connected to stormwater pipes, or when additional water enters the wastewater network in form of melted snow, drainage, groundwater or stormwater. To find the pipelines or points where the biggest problems exist, one method to use is detect temperature differences between waste-, storm- and additional water.
