Prize for the best master thesis

Published: 22 December 2016

During her studies Natural Resources Engineering at LTU, Helena Marttala specialised in Environment and Water and has now been awarded Ramböll's prize for the best master thesis in Urban Water Engineering 2016. The extensive work she carried out has been compiled in the report "Hydrological models for estimating pollutant loads of stormwater in an urban catchment".

The motivation says that this is "a very current topic regarding our future stormwater management. The questions of how nutrients are charged to our natural recipients and what an issue this is, is very topical especially with regard to the difficulties it may cause to treat stormwater in an urban environment. The report is also well formulated and structured and therefore very easy to read."
