Ivan Milovanovic's research field focuses on treatment of stormwater in area-efficient facilities. As the level of urbanization increases throughout the world, urgent need arises to make water treatment facilities in places that do not allow spacious installations.
Previously, Ivan has completed the master education programme at the department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade. His master thesis focused on determining the height of chute walls of the converging stepped spillways.
Ivan started his PhD-research at the urban water group in August 2017. His future research work will focus on efficiency and lifetime of zeolite filters and the analysis of the efficiency of reactive filters. Furthermore, his research will cover the design of shielded pond systems.
