Published: 18 December 2019

Inga Herrmann, Stormwater&Sewers has been granted a new project, "From gray to blue-green: Decentralized purification of greywater for use in blue-green urban environments" financed by is funded by The Swedish Research Council (Formas) and the water utility NSVA.

In the context of the interdisciplinary project, innovative and aesthetic greywater treatment techniques will be explored and how blue-green solutions can be designed and integrated in the public space, how barriers to their implementation and operation can be handled and how different stakeholders perceive the systems. In addition, it is being investigated whether local treatment of greywater can be practically feasible and what savings it brings to the mains network.
