Final conference in ONSITE
The ONSITE project carried out by Luleå University of Technology / Stormwater&Sewers in cooperation with the University of Oulu and the Finnish Environment Institute held its final conference on 29 March 2022, in digital form.
Among other things, results were presented from sampling of mini wastewater treatment plants, from calculations of how much plant nutrients can be recovered from our wastewater when source-sorting sewage systems (toilet water or urine sorting) are introduced in (semi-) rural areas in northern parts of Sweden and Finland and how sewage treatment can be improved by “bioengineering”, i.e. by adding specific bacteria. The conference had more than 40 participants.
