Musicians´ Health and Performance 1st Nordic Conference 2013

Welcome to the first Nordic Conference in music medicine.

The Conference is a new forum for researchers and clinicians, as well as musicians and music teachers with a special interest in Musicians´ Health and Performance.

MHPNC 2013 will be the first Nordic Conference devoted to musicians´ health and performance. This conference provides an opportunity for researchers, clinicians and musicians to take part of and discuss recent progress in the area of music medicine.

The goal of the Conference is to bring together researchers, clinicians, music teachers and musicians with a special interest in various aspects of musicians´ health and performance to share their knowledge and ideas. The results of the Conference are expected to promote further research and development, and promote international collaboration within this area. 

Topics that will be covered at the conference include, e.g., musculoskeletal disorders and capacities/capabilities/performances, sensorimotor control and learning, stress, hearing disorders, health promotion and related interventions.
