Laboratory and Equipment

Published: 21 March 2016

We have a dedicated laboratory facility of about 90 m2 for pharmaceutical and biomaterials research. Our labs are equipped with various processing, solid-state and pharmaceutical characterization equipment. In addition, we access advanced instrumentation from Chemical engineering and Biochemistry department.

Processing Equipment

Lab-scale spray dryer (Buchi) Freeze dryer (manifold), ball mills (ambient and cryomill), Film Coater casting.

Characterization Equipment

Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and Hot-Stage Microscopy (HSM), dispersive Raman spectroscopy including remote probe, Near infra-red spectroscopy, Dynamic vapor sorption (DVS), Inverse gas chromatography (IGC), Karl Fischer Apparatus, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) Particle size analysis by laser diffraction, USP dissolution (sink) Apparatus and intrinsic dissolution testing kits, storage stability cabinets, tablet quality control instruments (disintegration, Friabilator, hardness tests) and capsule machines.

Other instrumentation

X-ray Diffractometer (XRD)
FT-IR and Raman
Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
