Product Innovation was represented at the Space Innovation Forum in Kiruna May 10 to 11 by PhD candidates and supervisors in RIT (Space for Innovation and Growth). Christo Dordlofva and Angelica Lindwall presented their work on additive manufacturing (AM) and its implications for the space industry from a design and innovation perspective. They also presented their study tour conducted in Sweden to map AM (see article below).
Space Innovation Forum is an occasion for academia and companies within RIT to meet and share their research with each other and other stakeholders in the space industry. In total, eight PhD candidates presented their projects together with their host companies. On this occasion, the municipality of Kiruna was also represented as a key player in the development of the Swedish space industry in northern Sweden, as well as smaller companies with a potential interest to become part of the industry. This was the second occasion on which participants in RIT met, the first was the kick-off in October last year.
