ICED07 in Paris

2007-08: Tobias Larsson, Andreas Larsson, Peter Törlind, Ola Isaksson, Christian Johansson, Mattias Bergström and Åsa Ericson from the Division of Functional Product Development were some of approximately 560 attendees at the International Conference on Engineering Design, ICED 07, in Paris, August 28-30.

The 16th International Conference on Engineering Design, ICED 07 was held at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, La Villette in Paris. The conference was organised by Design Society and Ecole Centrale Paris. The key words for ICED 07 were Knowledge, Innovation and Sustainability. The scientific contributions covered a wide range from design theories to applications. The contributions from the Division of Functional Product Development were presented at the sessions: Creativity Theories, Information in Design, Approaches & Rationales in Design, and finally a section concerning the VIVACE project.

Besides oral presentations, a number of panel discussions were held.  Some panel discussions covered topics which relate to the research at the division, thus utterly interesting. The participation at the conference provided possibilities to get to know new fellow researchers, as well as meeting those you already know.

We had the pleasure to talk to attendees from Stanford University, Politecnico di Milano, University of Michigan, Danmarks tekniska universitet, Technishe Universitet Eindhoven, KTH and BTH, to mention a few.
