
SFC Program Conference 2016
The Swedish Gasification Centre (SFC) held its annual program conference in Gothenburg February 1 to 4, for the fifth time. Keynote speakers were Åsa Burman, CIT Lighthouse, and Professor Hermann Hofbauer, TU Vienna.
Åsa Burman, CIT Lighthouse, gave a keynote lecture on the challenges of the Gobigas project and Prof. Hermann Hofbauer, TU Vienna, talked about the biomass gasification situation in Austria and Germany.

The conference also presented the ongoing research in the context of the SFC, including presentations of the three node leaders Klas Engvall, KTH, Henrik Thunman, Chalmers and Kentaro Umeki, Luleå University of Technology.
New this year was that the conference ended with a seminar co-arranged with the Swedish research center for renewable fuels, F3 (www.f3centre.se). The title of the seminar was "full speed towards a fossil-free transportation sector? - Perspectives on gasification based biofuels and the role of pilot and demonstration plants "and contained both national and international speakers. Approximately 120 people participated in the joint seminar.
