Dr. Alok Patel is working as a Researcher in Biochemical engineering, Luleå University of Technology, Lulea, Sweden. He finished master’s degree in Biotechnology in 2011 and joined as research assistant in Food Borne Infection Surveillance Unit, (Global Disease Detection India Center) CDC, USA in collaboration with National Center for Disease Control, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. He got his PhD in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee, India in 2017. His research interest is mainly focused on development of biotechnological processes for conversion of organic matter to bioenergy, biofuels and biochemicals. Focus in microbiology and processes technology; process optimization; molecular methods for characterization of microorganisms; pretreatment of biomass; microalgae; macroalgae; microbial electrochemistry; and biorefineries.
