Dr. Alok is an expert to produce biodiesel from oleaginous yeast as well as microalgae. He finished master’s degree in biotechnology in 2011 and joined as research assistant in Food Borne Infection Surveillance Unit, (Global Disease Detection India Center) CDC, USA in collaboration with National Center for Disease Control, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. He joined IIT Roorkee for Ph.D. after qualifying National eligibility test conducted by CSIR. Now he have submitted his thesis entitled “Studies on TAG accumulating oleaginous yeasts for biodiesel production”. He published his proposed research work in peer reviewed international journals (Energy, Journal of hazardous materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Bioresource Technology etc.).
