Work summery

Thermo-mechanical forming of titanium and nickel-based superalloys

On-going research projects:

1) Direct-hit development of manufacturing processes – thermo mechanical forming of Titanium. Funding from VINNOVA, NFFP 5.

2) Virtual process chain for superalloy sheet metal aero engine structures - Validation and demonstrator. Funding from VINNOVA, NFFP 6.

3) Thermo-mechanical forming of thin metal sheets including welds - virtual forming method for aluminum rocket nozzles. Funding from the Swedish National Space Borad, NRFP SMF 2013.
