My research is about measurements of mechanical, acoustical and thermal properties using optical methods. Particularly development and use of methods for the study of fast and transient events like e.g. wave propagation in solids and fluids. Examples of methods that I use are Digital Speckle Photography, Pulsed TV holography, Schlieren, High-speed photography, Infrared imaging, and Laser vibrometry (LDV).
