In my research i deal with digital workflows and tools within design and production of buildings. This includes subjects such as building information modeling (BIM), computational design, generativ design, and parametric design. My focus has been on applications for both exploring and optimizing design solutions for buildings with the goal of identifying, understanding, and developing workflows that can contribute to improvements in building performance.
My teaching spans over multiple parts of the building process, such as the design and production phase, and includes digital and model-based workflows. I teach within the master programs in architectural engineering and civil engineering but also within the higher education diploma programs in built environment and civil engineering. I am also responsible for the courses computer tools in engineering, development project, and building technology.
