The doctoral study which starts in January 2018 focuses on the development of functional nanostructured carbon material with large specific surface area and derived from sustainable materials, mainly lignin. Approaches such as electrospinning, freeze-casting as well as 3D printing can be involved. The possible applications of the carbon material can be electrodes in supercapacitor or high-performance adsorbent.
