A short description of my PhD project
Currently doing my PhD at the Machine Elements division of the Luleå University of Technology, working on the tribological issues at the interface Aluminium - Dies during hot forming processes.
Research questions related to: formulating lubrication solutions for high temperature in contact with aluminium, the impact of surface topography on the global tribological behaviour during hot stamping, the use of surface engineering (PVD coatings, controlled nitriding...) to prevent severe adhesive wear (galling) to occur.
Projects in partnership with many researchers and R&D industrials (Swerea IVF - now RISE IVF-, Volvo cars, Gestamp Hardtech, Hydro, Quaker-Houghton, Ionbond...)
