Research

My research area is mainly within base metal metallurgy with focus on process modeling and distribution of minor elements. The overall aim of the research is to find wise process routes for varying feedstock in base metal extraction. My approach is to use process modeling based on thermodynamics together with characterization of material and experimental work.

 

Teaching

I am course coordinator for the second cycle course Process Metallurgy where I also teach extraction of base metals. I am also a teacher in the first cycle course High Temperature Processes where I teach mass- and heat balances, thermodynamic diagrams and solution thermodynamics. Supervision of student projects as well as master theses is also part of my teaching.

Background

In October 2015, I obtained my PhD degree in Process Metallurgy from Luleå University of Technology. My thesis is entitled “Wise Process Routes for Varying Feedstock in Base Metal Extraction”. I also have a M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering with specializing in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology obtained in 2005.
