I am a PhD student in the department of engineering sciences and mathematics (TVM) at Luleå University of Technology and I work as a research engineer at GKN Aerospace in Trollhättan, Sweden. I started my PhD in 2018 after obtaining an Engineering degree in mechanical engineering. I am now doing research in the fields of materials science and solid mechanics.
Subject - Characterization and modelling of alloy 718 behaviour under different thermomechanical loads
The objective is to identify the mechanism governing the plastic response of alloy 718 (Inconel) over a wide range of temperature and strain rate, in order to established a relation between the microstructure evolution and the mechanical behaviour of the material. Experimental characterization at high strain rate and microctrural examination allows to study phenomena as recrystallization, phase transformation, precipitate hardening and grain growth. Those data enable to calibrate material parameters used in the modelling of material behaviour during manufacturing.
Project - European Network for Alloy Behaviour Law Enhancement
ENABLE is a project funded by the European Union's H2020 programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN action. The project aims to obtain a complete and accurate modelling of the manufacturing chain by including the effect of the microstructure on the mechanical properties. A multiscale and multi-physic simulation of the manufacturing processes will be proposed.
