Muhammad Aqib Chishty is a postdoctoral researcher in Energy Engineering at Luleå University of Technology (LTU). Aqib is working on the numerical simulation of pulverized biomass gasification, turbine gas combustion and developing models for multiphase flows. 

His main research interests are combustion modelling, biomass gasification, diesel engines, and fluid mechanics. Aqib earned PhD. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney Australia in 2017 after earning MS in Computational Science and Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan and BSc (Hons) in Computational Physics from the University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He received University International Postgraduate Scholarship during his Ph.D., provincial scholarship during his MS, and other source of fundings during his BSc program. After his PhD, he worked as Research Associate at the University of Sydney and UNSW, Sydney Australia.
