Nils Jansson received his Ph.D. degree from Luleå University of Technology, Sweden, in 2011 with a thesis entitled The origin of iron ores and their relationship with polymetallic sulfide ores, Bergslagen, Sweden, supervised by Prof. Rodney Allen. Nils was engaged in exploration for volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits in Sweden for Boliden Mineral during 2011–2014 and has been employed as a researcher and teacher at LTU since 2014. His main research interest lies in integrating structural, stratigraphic, geochemical, and mineralogical data for unraveling the genesis of complex, metamorphosed, Proterozoic iron oxide and sulfide deposits.

  • Strat Zn - Conceptual modelling and exploration criteria for stratiform Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) deposits in Bergslagen (Boliden, Zinkgruvan Mining, Lovisagruvan, 2014-2017)
