Pär's Phd aims to explore nature-based blue-green infrastructure (BGI) in relation to the concepts of multi-functionality, sustainable development and circular economy. BGI in general and bioretention systems in particular are assessed based on environmental, economic and social impacts. To deepen the understanding of these aspects of BGI, different research methods such as life cycle assessment (LCA) and multicriteria analysis (MCA) are applied.
