Pouria earned his BSc in Civil Engineering from Azad University, Iran. Since graduating, he has worked as an executive engineer in underground construction projects and the railroad and road industry. He has chosen to advance his education by pursuing a Masters degree in Mining and Geotechnical Engineering at Luleå University of Technology in Luleå and is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree there. His research interests include rock mechanics, fracture mechanics, microseismic and acoustic emissions analysis and numerical modelling. His current project focus on identification of fallouts based on laboratory experiments and FEM modelling.
