I received my M.Sc. in Infrastructure Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2012. After completing my master studies, I joined LTU to pursue a doctorate in the field of Structural Engineering. Late 2017, I defended my Ph.D. thesis in the area of Anchorage to concrete structures.

I am currently working as a senior researcher at LTU. My research area of interests includes the sustainability and durability of buildings and civil infrastructures (in general), and the development of innovative methods of the design, construction, assessment, maintenance, and repair of structures (in particular).

Research Projects

  • Characterization and modeling of mechanical properties of old and new concretes
  • Load-carrying capacity of anchorage systems in High-Performance Concrete structures
  • Long-term creep behavior of post-installed adhesive anchors under sustained loads
  • Strengthening of existing non-composite steel-concrete bridges by creating composite action at the steel-concrete interface
  • Developing advanced monitoring and inspection techniques for existing infrastructures
