Sylvia Kowar is the cluster coordinator for the research cluster and center of excellence Stormwater&Sewers that, in close collaboration with private and public stakeholders, develops and disseminates research-based knowledge in the field of stormwater, sewer and resursefficient small sanitation systems research. Sylvia is the communication officer of Stormwater&Sewers and responsible for coordination, editing and layout of Stormwater&Sewers' website, its newsletter, social media profile as well as the popular science series New Research and Technology. She is also responsible of compiling Stormwater&Sewers' annual business plan and annual report, and organizes various conferences, workshops and seminars arranged by Stormwater&Sewers and coordinates the research center of excellence to participate in conferences, exhibitions and fairs.
In addition, Sylvia contributes with her experience in communication in large networks to several research projects and takes care of updating the Urban Water Engineering website, in particular larger project websites. Projects she is involved in are amongst others:
