Taraka's passion lies in ultrasonic cavitation and hydrodynamic cavitation to improve the processing conditions as well as their applications in different fields. He has been involved in several various projects related to the Process Intensification, scaling up ultrasonic reactors, as well as developing numerical models to characterize the pressure distribution in ultrasonic reactors. His current project is about to reduce the specific electrical energy in fibrillation processes required to maintain or improve the properties of paper. The idea is to create an alternative technology to today's refiners in the paper industry by reducing 50% of electrical consumption.
