Exploring the archipelago, hiking in the breathtaking mountains and much more. There’s a wide range of summer and autumn activities in northern Sweden. Here are some tips for you as a student at Luleå University of Technology who want to discover more of your amazing surroundings.

NORRBOTTEN AND VÄSTERBOTTEN:

Hiking in the mountains. Sarek, Kebnekaise, Abisko, Padjelanta ... Nowhere else in Sweden are peaks as high and the scenery as wild. The mountains in Swedish Lapland offer world-class hiking experiences. 

Kayaking. Here’s a kayaking guide for the Archipelago in the Bothnian Bay.

Participate in a race. Trailrunning, biking and other sports.

Salmon fishing. Norrbotten and Västerbotten have the best salmon fishing rivers in Sweden.

Go swimming! Sea, lakes, rivers and outdoor pools.
