Studenternas hus opened with a celebration

With speeches, food, champagne and fireworks, Studenternas hus, opened yesterday, Wednesday, March 4.
– Finally, we have our own house, Oscar Eriksson, said, chairman of Teknologkåren.

– Now we have a meeting place for students, business and other partners. Studenternas hus is a good example of how we can create things together with our partners, Oscar Eriksson, said. 

He thanked the University, Akademiska hus and the student sections, which made it possible to create the house that holds 200 study places, lunch room, meeting rooms, section rooms and lecture rooms.

– Studenternas hus is something we can be very proud of. Our students need meeting places, and we hope that you will meet and be inspired by each other here, Cathrine Norberg, said, Pro Vice-Chancellor at Luleå University of Technology, during her speech.

After the speaches, Oscar Eriksson and Axel Lindgren and Cathrine Norberg officially opened Studenternas hus. After the fireworks, students, staff and partners were offered alcohol-free champagne and food. Several student sections sold coffee and food during the afternoon.
