Luleå University of Technology joins network for life cycle thinking and development
Luleå University of Technology is a new partner of the Swedish Life Cycle Center – a collaboration platform for academia, research institutes, industry and government agencies for competence building and knowledge exchange in the field of life cycle thinking for a sustainable development.
The Swedish Life Cycle Center is a network comprised of about 500 people involved in research projects, working and expert groups, training, networking, and communication activities.
“Through the Swedish Life Cycle Center, we can create, and share knowledge for sustainable development in research and education within Luleå University of Technology and with other partners. I look forward to learning more within this area and I hope that it will promote a more critical thinking and systematic approach regarding the impacts our decisions have on the environment”, says Linn Berglund, Associate senior lecturer in Wood and bionanocomposites who is the contact person at Luleå University of Technology together with Thomas Zobel, Professor of Quality technology and logistics.
The university became a member of the network on the initiative of Creaternity, an interdisciplinary future area at Luleå University of Technology which aims at utilising the latest technology to contribute to an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable circular economy.
All the researchers and teachers at Luleå University of Technology interested in engaging in the network are welcome to contact Linn Berglund and Thomas Zobel.
