Eligibility requirements
Admitted to third-cycle studies at LTU.
Entry requirements:
Adopted for postgraduate education in the fields of science or technology.
College students, including undergraduate and graduate students in nature, science, and engineering area are also welcome.
Course content:
The course is for Research Methodology (Material characterization), mainly including:
- Basics of XRD;
- Lattices and Crystal Structures;
- X-Ray Diffractometer;
- Data Collection and Applications.
Learning outcomes:
The student should understand and can explain the basics of XRD, lattices and crystal structures of materials, X-Ray diffractometer, know basic operation of data collection and applications in material characterization and analysis.
Course methods:
The course consists of a number of lectures covering the theoretical part of the course, one mandatory student-led seminar and one mandatory laboratory exercise.
Examination form:
To pass the course, you need to have an approved laboratory report and a passed written examination.
