Facts and advice on alcohol
Various studies show that between 18 and 25 years of age is the time of life when people drink the most alcohol. This is also when people develop their adult drinking habits. It may therefore be wise to stop and reflect on your own drinking.
Your relation to alcohol
There are many positive effects of alcohol and also many negative ones. If you drink too much and too often, or have a vulnerability to develop addiction, the risks of developing negative consequences increase.
- Have you skipped a lecture/seminar because you didn't feel like going after a night out?
- Have you missed another commitment because there was too much alcohol?
- Have you done things while drunk that you normally wouldn't have done and regretted it the next day?
- Has anyone around you pointed out that you get too drunk or drink too often?
If you answer yes to one or more of the above questions, it may be wise to check your consumption.
