The selection is based on 1-165 credits.

Course Aim
After course completion, the student should be able to demonstrate:
  • basic knowledge on administration of operating systems and server hosted services
  • practical skills on administration of operating systems and server hosted services
  • ability to describe different storage solutions
  • ability to monitor performance of servers and its services

The course gives knowledge about installation, configuration, and administration of services in various types of operating systems.
Remote administration, user management, network services, storage management, database management,  monitoring

Each course occasion´s language and form is stated and appear on the course page on Luleå University of Technology's website.
The education consists of lectures and laboratory work.

If there is a decision on special educational support, in accordance with the Guideline Student's rights and obligations at Luleå University of Technology, an adapted or alternative form of examination can be provided.
Examination consists of a final written exam and mandatory lab assignments.
